I’m Stella Shaw, a contemporary artist with a lifelong love of painting. In 2013, I created Painting Zone as a space for artists to learn, experiment, and feel inspired.
About Me
With a background in fine art and over twenty years of painting experience, my journey has taken me from detailed landscapes to the freedom of abstract expression. Along the way, I’ve discovered many ways to play and create with acrylics and mixed media, which I love to share through my courses and workshops.
Why Painting Zone?
Many of my students have said classes feel like “the highlight of my week.” I want a sense of calm focus and creative joy to be what Painting Zone is all about.

I love to help people paint in their own way, whether drawn to realistic painting or eager to explore abstraction, to grow skills, build confidence, and discover their own artistic voice. I know what it’s like to balance creativity with life’s demands, and I aim to make art feel both accessible and deeply rewarding.
