Experience an inspiring morning painting at Redlees artists' studios. Suitable for adults and accompanied children over 12 years, this introductory workshop offers you expert tuition an opportunity to learn new ways to explore watercolour and/or acrylic painting. You will be guided to choose a subject, then compose your painting using line, colour washes and impastos, aiming to create vivid, atmospheric paintings. You'll learn to create light effects using only the white of the paper, and gain confidence in mixing colour. Work at your own pace within a friendly creative atmosphere, with experienced one-to-one tutor support on hand. Technical and artistic support is available for beginners or to stretch more experienced artists. Bring your own watercolour tubes and/or acrylic paints and some large, thick paper such as watercolour paper, wallpaper-lining paper or canvas stretchers. Some basic small sized sheets of paper and the use of brushes and some acrylics will be included. Spaces are limited, so early booking is advised.
